The Area:
One of the greatest charms of Exmouth is its
idyllic location, making it a perfect touring centre for exploring the numerous delights not only of East Devon - which has
remained charmingly uncrowded and unspoilt over the years - but also of the whole of this lovely county and beyond. Indeed
there is so much to see and do in this area that the only problem is where to start! Exmouth marks the start of the JURASSIC
COAST - England's only World Heritage Site. There are regular coach excursions to Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks,
Torbay and many of the loveliest parts of the Southwest
You can walk the spectacular South Devon
Coastal path, or perhaps the East Devon Way (total 40 miles), which takes you through some truly delightful countryside. There
are plenty of other 4-5 mile walks in the area as well. Keen cyclists can ride the cycle route from Exmouth to Budleigh Salterton
along Buzzard Way. Woodbury Common is a short drive with stunning views, lovely walks and picnic spots in an area which is
well known as a natural habitat for many species of wildlife.
Diving
Divers, whether you are experienced or wishing to learn, Exmouth is an ideal location.
